Hi, Yes it did happen. However, due to the £5000 fee for Guinness World Records to come and verify this on the day was unaffordable, we had to go down the ‘free’ route, which means amassing lots and lots of witness statements, witness time sheets for themselves and the timesheets they maintained for our break times, we had to video the whole 53 hours and have had to edit this down to a one-hour highlights of set times as requested by GWR, we’ve had to gather press reports which came from the Hull & East Riding Mail, The Pocklington Post, The Goole Times and The Sun and have had to get a copy of a BBC Radio Humberside interview we had after the event. GWRs evidence gathering is so strict we checked and double checked everything. This has taken a lot longer than imagined but the evidence pack is ready to be sent to GWR. On receipt by GWR, they can take anything up to 8 weeks to verify that the record has been broken.

Olli, we’ve put together a press release that will be sent to the local press. Dave and I were interviewed on BBC Radio Humberside – check the player that has been posted on my facebook wall. The evidence we collate and send to Guinness World Record for verification includes press reports. The regional daily paper, The Hull & East Riding Mail have already spoken to me on the phone yesterday and will be running the story – I will post a link to the on-line version as soon as it is published. Also, check out http://www.giantbradley.com – this is the town’s festival that we went along to after the event and appeared on stage, spraying each other with champagne. There are some photos on there, too.

Are there any newspaper reports since the success?
I saw some online about the attempt but not confirming the successful conclusion.
When will you get it confirmed by Guinness or is that already established?
